Before the launch of Disney+, Marvel Studios spread their original series across numerous platforms and live channels like Netflix, Freeform, and ABC. Once Disney+ hit our devices, the original Marvel series became far more streamlined, releasing exclusively on the newer platform.
That trend has continued since the platform’s release in 2019, with original MCU series like Loki Wandavision & The Falcon and the Winter Soldier all exclusive to Disney+. However, as the streaming wars rage on, Disney is beginning to siphon off the rights to some of its shows, with the very recent Secret Invasion being the first product to be shared across multiple platforms.
The first three episodes of Secret Invasion are currently available on Hulu, a sister streaming site to Disney+ in an attempt to boost subscriptions to both platforms.
The first MCU series of 2023, Secret Invasion sees Samuel L. Jackson return as Nick Fury, alongside Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos and Cobie Smulders’ Maria Hill as they attempt to thwart the shapeshifting Skrulls’ infiltration and invasion of Earth.
The final episode of Secret Invasion hits Disney+ today.
