While their library of original movies and series is widely considered to be hit-and-miss, Netflix‘s approach to original documentaries has, more often than not, produced some incredible insights into the harshest and most intriguing aspects of our modern culture.

The recently released Muscles & Mayhem revealed the exploitative practices behind one of America’s most beloved game shows, American Gladiators. The Last Dance gave the everyday person a look at the psychology and lifestyle of elite athletes, and their newest doc, How to Become a Cult Leader, blows the doors wide open on how average people are manipulated into doing heinous acts.

The documentary follows the same outline as its predecessor, How to Become a Tyrant, which hit Netflix back in 2021, with Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage returning to provide narration.

The series is described as a:

Look inside the cult leader’s playnook for achieving unconditional love, endless devotion and the power to control people’s minds, bodies and souls.

How to Become a Cult Leader hits Netflix on July 28.
